Our Story
For Athletes, by Athletes
CHAMP was born at the intersection of athlete leadership, sexual-violence prevention, and the urgent need for safer communities. After completing Athletes As Leaders in high school, Elise entered college expecting a culture of consent—only to find harmful norms, silence, and a gap between mandated training and real behavior.
As a team captain and Title IX intern, she saw how “check-the-box” modules failed to help athletes practice consent in daily life. So she adapted the program that once inspired her, creating a tailored, peer-led curriculum for every varsity team on campus—and the impact was immediate.
In 2024, Elise and former teammate Ellie Greenberg launched CHAMP to take this model nationwide, empowering athletes to drive real cultural change and making consent education meaningful from High School teams to NCAA attestations to Pro spaces.
